Context & To-Do

As a content strategist for Morpho Lab, I was responsible for establishing a cohesive social media direction, comprehensive content guidelines, an affiliate program, and resources for UGC creators to ensure consistent growth across platforms.

Creating our user personas

We interviewed sports enthusiasts to understand their lifestyle, using the findings to build user personas—capturing motivations, frustrations, and behaviors. This would help us guide our content strategy.

Putting down the expectations

  • Establish a consistent brand presence on Instagram (primarily) and test cross-platform potential while engaging in paid-ads campaign
  • Grow an initial community base (early paying users + engaged followers) through curated brand value & brand promotion content creation
  • Design and test a simple funnel:

Social Media Marketing Direction

By taking a step back to look at the core value proposition and niche of Morpho Lab, we first identified the key type of content that would resonate with our target audience.

Social Media Content Strategy

Using the personas and our direction, we developed a content strategy that aligns with our brand voice and audience preferences.

Most organic views came from collaborations

Starting with a fresh account, we published daily content over the course of a week to test our strategy. This rapid-testing phase revealed:

50k total views (90% organic)
10.8k views from collaborations (3)
8.8k views from commentary (6)
4.5k views from educational (3)

...and they were the most engaging

While our initial educational rollout successfully built brand awareness, shifting toward lifestyle-focused collaborative content drove significantly higher engagement, establishing it as a core pillar of our future strategy.

What I learned

Working with Morpho Lab provided invaluable experience in marketing a physical product launch and aligning content with brand values and audience preferences. Here are the key takeaways:

  • Consistency is key to building a strong brand presence and maintaining audience trust
  • While being consistent, pivot when necessary to create impactful content
  • Look into the numbers and create appropriate adjustments
